Youth Player Age Divisions

US Youth Soccer is returning to an age group formation based on August 1 - July 31, rather than January 1 - December 31, beginning with the 2026-27 registration season.

Many clubs in our league will wait until the beginning of the 2026-27 registration season with fall soccer to implement this change. Others will be implementing the change early with the upcoming summer travel season.

Financial Assistance

The Red Wing Soccer Club strives to provide financial assistance to any person who desires to participate, regardless of their ability to pay the fees. Scholarship funds are made available through contributions to the Red Wing Soccer Club from a variety of sources.

Eligibility for assistance is based on a review of a completed application. Assistance is granted to the extent that funds are available.

The Red Wing Soccer Club believes a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed if the financial assistance recipient has contributed to the cost of their participation. Therefore, applicants are asked to pay a portion of the fees.

ALL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE RECORDS ARE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL.

Completed applications are reviewed by members of the RWSC Board. The applicant's personal situation as well as financial need is considered. The RWSC utilizes the financial assistance guidelines of the Red Wing Y when considering the amount that will be subsidized.

Applications should be submitted two weeks before registration closes to allow adequate time for review.
